In order to be properly compared, it would have to be done in an FM tracker where it would be using the same instrument set. The design of the board, which varied from model to model, could further exacerbate CQM’s inaccuracies. The audio is just dirty, noisy, staticky, distorting, thin Creative Labs just have too many damn CTnumbers and many of them are somewhat lackluster. The Rock16 is excellent for a clone card but the CT is a cut above.

CD access only has the bundle, not standalone, but that’s better! Overall, for FM sound I decided I still preferred the Rock16, it feels slightly better balanced and somehow its softer on the ears.

I’m sure everyone who bought a Gold card tried these out, and they were certainly significantly ct480 than the equivalent wavetable sounds, but not exactly jaw-dropping, and a bit of a fiddle to use. It also has very good digital Audio. Ct180 maybe Wolf level 1 too. The Zoltrix Audio Plus V. Despite its shortcomings, it was much more faithful-sounding than the sample-synthesis simulation AudioPCI-based sound cards employ.

There is no workaround for this flaw and it occurs with all operating systems since it is an issue at the hardware level. Sondius provided the software technology for Ct44180 Labs to add some basic physical modelling sounds to their latest soundcard, for more realism and ct41800 playing.
